Don't Squander the Wander!

A refuge for all who are wandering through the wilderness and tethered to the truth

Re-Vive!

Revival. Re-vive. Re-life. Newness of life.

We’ve been praying for revival, and here it is. But what is it, exactly?

God’s way of revival is His wonderous love breathing new life to old things. Our stale faith has found a fresh voice. Our tired religion has had a nap, and is now fully awake and ready for action. We’ve said yes again, God, and He has said, get those shoes on, child, we’re going on an adventure you’ve only dreamed of. Get ready, adventure awaits!

Jesus has not forgotten what He has called you to, friend.

He is ready to remind, and redirect you back to the place of fertile soil. Bringing visions to action. Dreams to reality. That’s the Jesus we follow. That’s the Spirit who equips.

Jesus is ready to bring life to the things God has spoken in the quiet spaces. Those middle of the night ideas. Those driving down the highway epiphanies. Those God-given creative ways to share the hope of Jesus to a lost and hurting world. The purposes of God that will glorify Him, lead the lost to His feet, and lead us all closer to the throne in praise.

Have you had a moment when you felt God smile down on you, flooding you with the joy and power of the Holy Spirit? His power, His life, His plan, His truth are unmistakable. His calling is clear. His narrow path for our lives is distinct, and many times seemingly impossible to accomplish in the natural.

Jesus isn’t limited by our great idea, the thing we can do because of our training, schooling, or skill set. Nope. I’m talking the things that would have no chance of making it past step one, those things you’ve been afraid to step into because honestly that step one scared you in your tracks. Had you shaking in your spiritual boots.

Many of us have some sort of big God idea we’ve been holding on to for weeks, months, years, or even decades. Things we know God has spoken. Things so big we can’t even explain it all out. These are the very things God has been holding on to, waiting for our complete surrender. Waiting for us to rise to the challenge.

Enter revival.

The sweet season of a fresh yes. The big vision returning to the little life of faith. The reminder of the days of being excited just to speak the name of Jesus.

And now that God has our fresh yes and amen; now that we have said yes, Lord, You are Lord and King of my life, He says go! Take the step. Walk in it. Watch Me move in power. See the mountains move and the oceans roar in the glory of My Name. It is a new day. A fresh anointing. Don’t be afraid, walk in it. You’ve got this because I’ve got you.

This is the re-viving of our purpose. Newness of life. A fresh anointing, shoes on, ready to run the race set before us kind of faith. Jesus, help us to remember the calling You placed on our lives. Help us to have the courage to say yes to You, to embrace the equipping power of the Holy Spirit, and watch You move in and through us, accomplishing Your purpose all around us. For Your glory alone. For Your kingdom alone.

I believe this is the revival happening right now in our midst. In every church body, in every nation. Individuals in every group are on fire for the Lord like never before. This is the revival that could spark another Great Awakening. One or two flames catching on until the embers of faith burn bright across our generation. Lord, let it be so.
